Scalado to deliver optimum imaging solution optimized for moblin and the Intel® Atom™ processor

Integration of Scalado's SpeedView technology will enable astounding image browsing on Intel® Atom™ based Mobile Internet Devices

Lund, Sweden – Scalado, the leader in mobile imaging software solutions, has today announced that its image browsing SpeedView technology has been optimised for Moblin and Intel® Atom™ processor based products, such as Mobile Internet Devices (MID), netbooks and nettops. By working closely with Intel, Scalado has carefully tailored its powerful imaging technology and also optimized its CAPS SDK and related modules in order to provide customers with an outstanding range of image browsing, zooming, panning, and handling capabilities. The Moblin platform makes it possible for the Scalado SpeedView technology to take full advantage of the Intel Atom processor platform to deliver a rich media experience to consumers.

The technology will be exhibited for the first time on Intel’s booth at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona 16-19 February 2009.

This latest partnership adds to Scalado’s growing presence in the mobile imaging market.  SpeedView and other Scalado imaging technologies are already being used on over 300 million mobile devices from the top six tier1 handset manufacturers.

This new development using Scalado’s SpeedView with the Intel® Atom™ processor platform based on Moblin will be demonstrated by Scalado staff at the Intel Booth (The Fira Hall 8, Booth#:  8B109) during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
