Scalado partners with leading Japanese tech firm Macnica

New relationship already generating increased business opportunities in APAC region for the Swedish imaging experts

Scalado, the leader in mobile imaging software solutions, has today announced that it has appointed Macnica Networks Corp. as its sole agent and local representative in Japan, to help the company gain a stronger foothold in the Japanese market.  Macnica, established in Japan in 1972, is a renowned software and technology company that has excellent links and established relationships within the Japanese wireless and digital image industries. These links have already proved to be fruitful with Macnica assisting Scalado in its first business agreement in Japan with Sony Ericsson, as well as a number of technology evaluations by other Macnica clients.

The partnership with Macnica follows Scalado’s recent move into the Asia Pacific region; in May 2007, the Swedish company opened an office in South Korea to provide both technical and personnel support to its growing portfolio of handset manufactures in the region.  In addition to the Sony Ericsson Tokyo unit that serves both Japan and the global market, Scalado initially plans to establish technical resources, in order to support Macnica and other customer projects in Japan.
