Scalado moves into Asia and chooses South Korea as its first operational office in the region

New contracts with major Asian industry players fuel expansion into new territory

Scalado, a leading developer of mobile imaging software for camera phones, has today announced that it will be opening an operation in South Korea in April, providing both technical and business personnel to support the company’s growing portfolio of Asian handset manufactures in the region. The new operation, based in Suwon-city, will provide technical expertise, with engineers from Scalado’s HQ in Lund, Sweden, to directly support customers in South Korea initially, but increasing to support other Asian customers in other countries in the near future.

“The request for technical competence, fast turnaround and closer collaboration with customers to secure new product launches are important when developing high technology software products today”, said Mats Jacobson, CEO of Scalado. “Opening this new office will enable us to continue to promote and integrate new products into our customers camera-phones, at a much faster pace and at a lower cost.”
